10 Study Tips to Boost Productivity
By 30% - ok I pulled that out of my ass
You’ve searched and searched for a while on good study tips. And you feel more motivated than ever to start studying and working on your damn business. Then, as soon as you start… all that motivation is gone.
So, I’ve compiled some great study tips that will help you over time.
No one cares about your sleep schedule. Sleep at 1 am and wake up at 9 am. Work at 10 pm if it means you’re most productive at that time. Don’t listen to the morning people telling you the only time is day.
Pomodoro: The 25/5 sucks. Try 52/17. 5 minutes of break isn’t a lot and neither is 25 minutes of work. 52/17 is optimal.
Don’t cram: never listen to ‘The more the merrier’.
Flashcards: If you don’t need to apply the knowledge a whole lot, put questions you’ve gotten wrong on previous exams and put the answers at the back. After that, you’ve got preparation for your yearly!
Practice tests: Like regular tests but you don’t get your ass beat.
Interleaving: Study the same topic but a different sub-topic. For example, if you’re studying biology, switch from ecosystems to evolution.
Say you’re learning science. However, you keep forgetting what the hell mitochondria is. After you use flashcards, keep the ones you got right at the bottom of your pile, and keep the ones you didn’t near the top. Revise the ones you got right every few days, while revise the ones you didn’t every few hours.
Never multitask: NEVER.
Don’t study on your bed: you’re begging to be unproductive.
Don’t reread study notes: You’re just passively studying.
Thanks!
