How to Gamify Your Life
and focus 3 extra hours a day
If you struggle to focus for even 5 minutes, here’s a fix for you.
If you can’t spend 30 minutes reading or working on your business but can easily play your favorite game for 10 hours, this email is for you.
Dopamine, released when you do pleasurable activities, is why you’re hooked on games. Here’s how you can apply game elements to your daily life:
Objectives:
Games have clear goals, like defeating enemies or rescuing characters. In real life, break big goals into smaller tasks.
For example, if you’re writing a book, start with a goal of writing 200 words. Even small goals give a sense of accomplishment.
Progression:
In games, your character levels up by completing tasks.
In real life, track your progress by writing down your achievements, like finishing a workout or reading a book.
Turn these into a progress bar to motivate yourself.
Rewards:
Games reward you with better tools or abilities for completing challenges.
In real life, reward yourself with something beneficial, like a healthy meal after sticking to a diet, rather than indulging in a cake.
See you next time,
Peace.
